On 05.06.2023 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the RCR (Research Center Railways) of RWTH Aachen University and the Southwest Jiaotong University of Chengdu, the leading Chinese university for rail transport engineering. RWTH Aachen University was represented by Professor Niessen (VIA) and Professor Schindler (IFS).
Both universities want to cooperate more closely with regard to research and teaching. The Chinese delegation was led by the Vice President of the University, Mr. Faming Yao, who emphasized the great reputation of RWTH in China.
