As part of the presentation of the rail vehicle technology field of study with entry into the professional field of traffic engineering/vehicle technology of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and specialization as a focus of the Master of Vehicle Technology and Transport, we offered a tour of the institute on May 17. We were delighted with the large number of participants and the keen interest shown by the students.
Finally, we were again able to show on-site what is current in the field of rail vehicles and what is being researched. New and modernized test rigs in our test hall were demonstrated and the associated research projects explained. The highlight was certainly the ride of the newly acquired railcar type LVT/S on our institute track. The afternoon was rounded off by light refreshments and a snack, during the consumption of which interesting discussions ensued.
