Use existing transport routes to generate electrical energy

Last week, the IFS was represented together with the project partner QINUM at the solar trade fair INTERSOLAR within the framework of The Smarter E Europe.  For the first time, we were able to present our innovative project "RoboPV" at the booth of our funding partner Deutsche Bundesstifung Umwelt (DBU) together with three other DBU-funded projects.

Our project deals with the laying of PV modules in the track, which together can form large-scale solar power plants. The already used traffic area of the railroad can thus be additionally used for power generation and further areas, e.g. areas serving forestry and agriculture, are not needed.

We would like to thank the DBU for this opportunity to present our project to the public!
