The InnoTrans, the world's biggest industrial fair of rail transport, took place in Berlin from the 20th to the 23rd of September. The IFS, together with the representatives of the discipline railway technology of the FH Aachen, was present at the joint stand of the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV).
The location in the Hall 2.2, not far from Stadler and the Chinese giant CRRC, was perfect and lots of people visited the stand of the IFS.
Besides a presentation of the research activities, the compact vibrational comfort measuring system developed at the IFS was presented, which could be tested on a simple spring-mounted rail vehicle model. Apart from numerous current and prospective cooperation partners from research and the industry, some interested potential students could gather information about the study opportunities in Aachen and the career chances in the field of rail transport.
The excellent hospitality offered by the catering team did the rest to create the best atmosphere to hold good conversations. The IFS will also be present at the next Innotrans in two years.
