As part of their autumn conference in Cottbus, the members of the Association of University Professors of Railways (VUE) have elected a new leadership duo.
The VUE, or its predecessor organization, has existed since 1977 and counts 23 active university professors from Germany and three other countries as members. Their common feature is the research and teaching in the field of railways. Prof. Schindler was elected as the new speaker. His deputy is Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer König from the TU Dresden. His area of expertise is railway systems and public transport.
Schindler and König want to increase the visibility of the VUE and seek dialogue with railway companies, manufacturers and suppliers of the industry as well as with associations and other research institutions.
