IFS is delighted to be part of the NRW "Innocam II" project

Another pleasant event took place just before Christmas. State Environment and Transport Minister Oliver Krischer visited us at the RWTH to personally present us with the approval notice for the "Innocam II" project.

Project manager Prof. Lutz Eckstein from the Institute of Automotive Engineering (ika) was beaming with joy as he accepted the certificate. Three other institutes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are also involved, namely the Institute of Automatic Control IRT, represented by its director, Prof. Heike Valleri, the Institute of Flight System Dynamics of Prof. Dieter Moormann and the IFS.

The four institutes are also members of the RWTH profile area Mobility and Transport Engineering (MTE). Innocam aims to promote the automation and networking of various transportation systems. In addition to road, rail and air, the IRT represents the areas of water and shipping.
