Today, we had the annual meeting between the Association of University Professors on Railways (VUE) and high ranking representatives from Deutsche Bahn. Unfortunately, the meeting that is traditionally held in the DB-Tower, Berlin, had to take place virtually for the 3rd time.
More than 30 DB representatives and 15 VUE-Professors, including DZSF-Director Corinna Salander, attended the meeting. DB head of funding policy and knowledge management Markus Mehlin and VUE chairman Christian Schindler welcomed the participants. DB board member Daniela Gerd tom Markotten gave us a speech about her goals and measures to make the Deutsche Bahn more attractive to the customers. Frank Sennhenn, chairman of DB Netz offered an intensified cooperation to the VUE professors. Current research projects were presented and common measures to attract more high potentials to railways were discussed.
