Prof. Schindler appointed to the scientific advisory board of the DZSF

Professor Schindler has been appointed to the nine-member advisory board of the German Center for Rail Transport Research (DZSF).

According to its website, the DZSF, which was founded two years ago, "acts as an independent, technical-scientific departmental research institution of the Federal Government. It is located in Dresden and Bonn as an independent federal institute at the Federal Railway Authority. Its task is to strengthen rail transport in Germany through application and solution-oriented research. The research results help to ensure that important innovations are not only developed but also implemented in a practical manner and used by the entire sector." A scientific advisory board will support and advise the DZSF in this endeavor.

In addition to Prof. Schindler, Prof. Ulrike Meyer from the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences is another member of the RWTH professors.

The advisory board has the task to advise the DZSF and to promote the cooperation with other research institutions.
