Kick-off meeting for the Shift2Rail project CARBODIN on 10-11 December 2019

The kick-off meeting for the Shift2Rail project CARBODIN (Car Body Shells, Doors and Interiors) took place on 10-11 December 2019 in Cerdanyola (Barcelona). In this EU project with a budget of approx. 3.5 million Euros, 14 partners from 7 nations are working together on vehicle body shells, doors and interiors. Within this project, the Institute for Railway Vehicles is working on questions concerning the interior. The interior area is divided into four general topics (modular interior concepts; new tools for composite elements; human-machine interaction; integrated low voltage circuits). The technical management for the entire interior area as well as for the topic of modular interior concepts lies with IFS.
