First Contact to Rail Professor at NTU, Singapore

Invited by Prof. Blessing from SUTD, a Group of 18 members and associates from the Scientific Society for Product Development (WiGeP) visited Singapore for a workshop. The goal was to learn to know the local universities and some of the industry companies there.

Interesting innovative approaches for integrated education in engineering could be seen at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). More conventional is the teaching and research at the highly-respected Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Here, Prof. Schindler learned to know a colleague in railway research, Prof. Pang, who is mainly involved in research with the local metro operator, SMRT. Both professors agreed on further steps to intensify the contact.
